Mystical Lightning
Celts viewed weather as reflections of human events. St. Bede's Anglo-Saxon Chronicle links the stages of moons, or floods, or an eclipse to particular acts. A war-band in Powys attempts to ride through a rainstorm, meets rivers that are flooding then encounters lightning that shakes the earth. What does it mean? More importantly, where does the storm take them? In a land where faeries still live, anything can happen.
